Leaving Mattioli Woods Welford Road on Saturday evening as a content Leicester Tigers fan, you could have been forgiven for heaping all of your available praise on two players; Handré Pollard and Tommy Reffell.
A supreme kicking performance from the former, who is arguable the pound-for-pound best flyhalf in the world right now and Reffell, a Welsh international that has Tigers stripes running through his veins, admittedly, were exceptional in the East Midlands Derby.
Reffell, however, was adamant his role could not be performed without the work of his teammates.
“My Job is just part of the team’s job really,” Reffell explained.
“Fans probably just see the end product of it, the turnover, but there’s a lot more to it than that, it’s about the other boys hitting low and being able to roll out of the tackle, not give a penalty away so you know, credit to them.”
Tigers head coach, Dan McKellar doubled down on Reffell’s message, reiterating that Tigers victory over Saints came because of the contribution of everyone on the turf.
“Having someone like [Reffell] that turn the ball over on the ground is incredibly valuable, but it comes off the back of others working hard as well.”
