Tigers’ community department have taken delivery of a Land Rover Discovery 4 from main dealer Sturgess of Leicester in Narborough Road.
It will be used to help the community team to take kit, coaches players to their projects and programmes, from the Land Rover Premiership Cup to Mark Group Rugby Courses, from the Prima Tiger Cup to Healthy Schools.
Scott Clarke, Leicester Tigers community manager, said: “Land Rover support Premiership Rugby community departments and that support is key to encouraging young players to play the sport.
“Their support runs deep and as well as supporting the Land Rover Premiership Cup at Oakham on April 10, they have provided us with a new Discovery 4.
“The vehicle will support our community programme at our events around the Tigers region. It even went to Holland for the Rugby Course at the British School in the Netherlands, so it is already well travelled.”
Land Rover is the Official Vehicle of England Rugby and Premiership Rugby and supports the sport at every level, from rugby's grassroots to the international stage. In addition, Land Rover are title sponsor of the Land Rover Premiership Rugby Cup for under 11 and under 12 age groups. Tigers will hold their festival at Oakham RFC on April 10.
