Leicester Tigers have welcomed Coventry Rugby players Andy Forsyth and Rory Jennings to join the squad for training in preparation for the resumption of the 2019/20 Gallagher Premiership season next month.

Versatile back Forsyth, who has represented Tigers on 34 occasions, joined the Leicester squad on loan during the opening months of the 2019/20 campaign before returning to the Championship Club at the beginning of the year.

Fly-half Jennings has also previously been involved with Tigers as part of Premiership Rugby Shield squads.

Speaking about the inclusion of the duo, Leicester Tigers Director of Rugby Geordan Murphy said: “It has been great to welcome Andy and Rory into the environment.”

“With the unique training schedule we have at the moment, in Phase 2, it has been important to have key positions filled during sessions with small groups taking part.

“Likewise, we have a few additions still to join us and to have Andy and Rory here has been helpful to us to while we wait for the arrival of Kini, Kobus and Matias, as well as others from various places in the world.

“We are very grateful to Coventry for allowing us to invite to the pair in for training and to the lads themselves, who have been great and added to our squad since arriving.”

Forsyth and Jennings will continue to train with the Leicester Tigers squad during Phase 2 of training at Oval Park, ahead of Phase 3 when fixtures commence in mid-August.
