Leicester Tigers’ women’s team beat a British Police XV 27-5 in a game hosted by Leicester Forest RFC on Wednesday evening.
As part of a double header which also featured a game for partner club Lichfield, the Tigers recorded a 27-5 victory with fur second-half tries.
The teams were level at 5-5 at half-time, with Laura Beswick opening the scoring for Tigers who then pulled away after the break thanks to scores from Charlotte Daley (2), Sam Williams and Georgia Westwood, plus a conversion from Natasha Jones.
The team have a break from Women’s Championship North duties this weekend and return to the league programme with a trip to Kenilworth on Saturday, December 3.
