Tigers World Cup Fanzone open on Sunday

Figure image
The Tigers World Cup Fanzone is open again next Sunday and we'll be opening the doors for stadium tours to allow visitors to have a look around the home of the Leicester Tigers. As an iconic home of the sport, Welford Road has welcomed the biggest names in the game over more than a century and, on Sunday, it is the turn of visiting supporters to share that experience.   See the redevelopment in progress on the West Stand, take a look around the dressing room areas, follow in the footsteps of rugby legends – and you can even pick your seat for the new season!   The Final Whistle bar will be open for food and refreshments from 10am and we’ll also have activities on the plaza outside the MET-Rx Stand in the build-up to the match between Argentina and Namibia in the city at noon.   The Tigers roadshow vehicle, known as The Maul, will be there, allowing you to take a commemorative photo in front of a Tigers backdrop, and you can take the Speed Pass Challenge or test yourself on the Tigers Tackle Bag.   There will activities for younger supporters with the Junior Tigers Club team, and the Matt Hampson Foundation will be in attendance with their Speed Cage game.   The Tigers Club Store will be open 9am-3pm on Sunday with a full range of Tigers replica kit, leisurewear and merchandise as well as official RWC2015 souvenirs.   If you’re on your way to see Argentina against Namibia, or if you just want to meet up with other rugby supporters at a famous club venue and take a look around, we’d be delighted to see you at Welford Road.   There will be live music in Final Whistle before and after the game.   If you’re not going to the game, you can stay and watch the coverage on big screens and TVs in Final Whistle at the home of the Tigers.   Hundreds of fans joined us last Sunday as Argentina faced Tonga in the city and we’d love to see you all again this week.
