Travel Update | Centrebus matchday services

Figure image

The club’s Centrebus matchday services will no longer be in operation on matchdays for Leicester Tigers supporters during the 2019/20 season.

Welford Road welcomes visitors Exeter Chiefs in the club’s first home game of the season on Friday, September 25. Match tickets are available by clicking here.

Fans who have previous used the T1 service from Market Harborough, the T2 service from Oakham and T4 service from Market Bosworth to Welford Road will have to make alternate travel arrangements.

Dom McGeever, ticket officer manager at Leicester Tigers, said: “Unfortunately, we have been unable to renew our partnership with Centrebus in providing exclusive bus routes for fans in regions outside of the city centre for the 2019/20 season.

“The reason for this falls on the cost of running these routes now far exceeding the number of fans using this service, which would have resulted in a price increase for fans which we didn't want to put in place.

“We are currently working to find a solution for fans affected by this news and will look to provide an update in the coming weeks.”

Trains will be running from Market Harborough and Oakham to Leicester train station – a 15 minute walk from the stadium – but please contactyour local bus service provider for information on alternative bus routes.

Those who opt to travel by car, parking is also available at the nearby King Power Stadium and in the Leicester Royal Infirmary Multi Storey (entry via Havelock Street).

Please contact the Leicester Tigers ticket office before 12.00pm Thursday, September 26 to book your parking directly. Parking is available on the day, however spaces are not guaranteed.
