Big test for Tigers trio in World U20s

Both Wales and England have qualified for the second-tier play-offs at the World Under-20s Championships following victory in their final pool fixtures on Wednesday.

Although neither team could reach the last four of the tournament after one win and one defeat in their opening games, Wales scored a bonus-point win over Fiji in round three while England took maximum points against the previously unbeaten Australia to go into the fifth-placed fixtures.

Now Wales, with Leicester Tigers duo Tommy Reffell and Sam Costelow in their squad, face New Zealand in the fifth-placed semi-finals in Rosario next Monday, June 17 (2.30pm UK time).

England, who include Tigers prop Joe Heyes, face Ireland at the same stage. Kick-off is at 7.30pm UK time.
