Tuilagi and Ellis start for Tigers

Figure image
Alesana Tuilagi and Harry Ellis both start for Leicester Tigers against Worcester Warriors at Sixways on Saturday afternoon.

Ellis returned to competitive action for the first time in 10 months during last week's win over Leeds Carnegie, while Tuilagi's appearance in the same fixture was his first involvement since mid-November.

Captain Martin Corry returns to the side in the second row, where he is joined by last weekend's starting skipper Louis Deacon.

Ben Pienaar makes his first Guinness Premiership start on the openside flank, having been a replacement for Tigers in their last two league fixtures. The 21-year-old academy product, who has spent time on loan at Bedford this season, made his first-team bow in March 2006 against the Barbarians and currently has four appearances to his name.

Ellis is partnered at halfback by Andy Goode, while Jordan Crane and Brett Deacon join Pienaar in the back row.

Tom Youngs makes his second Premiership start of the season alongside Ollie Smith in midfield, with Tom Varndell and Sam Vesty named with Tuilagi in the back three and Boris Stankovich, Mefin Davies and Julian White completing the side in the front row.
