The Tigers Supporters' Forum met this week to discuss recent developments at the club and ask questions to senior staff members.

From recent changes in the coaching team to the club’s commercial plans, Tigers opened the floor to hear from Forum representatives.

Taking place in the Final Whistle, supporters shared their thoughts on the coaching changes while the club provided clarity on the role of Matt O’Connor who will have overall responsibility for first-team rugby.

There was an update on injured players, with long-term absentees Matt Toomua and Manu Tuilagi making good progress in their recovery, and information on the development group, many of whom will play on loan at clubs outside the Premiership to assist their senior rugby development.

Forum members had a preview of the club’s new home and away kits for 2017/18 season as well as receiving an update on record levels of sponsorship at the club.

The Supporters Forum is in place to help the club understand its fans and receive feedback on its plans for the future, and there was some discussion on how to take this forward, particularly with regard to introducing Forum members from the under-30s age-group for next season. Any supporters from this age group who are interested should email [email protected]

The meeting concluded with news of Tigers plans in the next few weeks, which include an event at the Highcross Shopping Centre in Leicester (April 13), Open Training Session (April 14), the Junior Takeover Day at the Newcastle Falcons fixture (April 15) as well as the ‘A’ League fixture at Lichfield.

The Tigers Supporters' Forum meets regularly during the year at Welford Road. If you would like to be considered to join the forum please send an email to [email protected] indicating why you should be considered.
