Leicester Tigers supporters have voted Telusa Veainu their Goldsmiths Player of the Month for December.Veainu, who celebrated his 25th birthday on Boxing Day, won the fan vote ahead of teammates Tom Youngs and Dan Cole.
His success was announced during half-time of the Aviva Premiership game against Newcastle Falcons on Boxing Day and received his award after the final whistle.
Veainu has had an excellent month, scoring in the win at Worcester Warriors and playing his part in the back-to-back Champions Cup wins against Munster Rugby, including a sensational chase and try-saving tackle in the Welford Road fixture.
He follows Sam Harrison, Fraser Balmain and Matt Smith, the previous winners of the Goldsmiths Player of the Month award so far this season.
The Tigers Player of the Month award is supported by Goldsmiths, the largest prestige and luxury jewellers in the UK, who are also official East Stand sponsors and official timekeepers.
