Matt O’Connor has confirmed that Leicester Tigers full-back Telusa Veainu suffered a broken jaw in the team’s European Champions Cup game against Munster on Saturday.

Veainu was hurt in a challenge from Munster’s Andrew Conway as the Tigers full-back fielded a kick during the early stages of the second half at Thomond Park.

Both players received medical treatment on the pitch before being replaced and Tigers head coach confirmed the extent of Veainu’s injury in his post-match press conference.

Tigers were beaten 33-10 as Munster took over at the top of Pool 4 after three rounds.

The return fixture is at Welford Road next Sunday. Match tickets are available now. Book in person at the Tigers Store in Highcross Shopping Centre, phone the ticket office on 0116 319 8888 (option 2) or book online.
