Vote for October's Player of the Month

Voting is now open for the Lumbers Player of the Month.

George Ford, Ellis Genge and Telusa Veainu are on the three-man shortlist for the October award.

Ford, who starts at fly-half for England against Argentina on Saturday, has been pivotal to Tigers with his game-management. He has landed his last 11 kicks at goal in the Aviva Premiership, and his accuracy from the tee was crucial in securing a bonus point in the Champions Cup game at Racing 92.

Genge has been a handful in the loose and at the set-piece throughout October. His form has not gone unnoticed by England head coach Eddie Jones, who has named the 22-year-old loosehead prop on the bench to face Argentina.

Veainu, meanwhile, scored a hat-trick in the Champions Cup win against Castres Olympique and followed it up with the Citizen Try of the Week against Newcastle Falcons. The full-back has beaten more defenders (34) and made more offloads (12) than any other player in the Aviva Premiership so far this season.

The Tigers trio are aiming to follow Jonny May and Harry Wells, the two Lumbers Player of the Month award winners so far this season.

Fans can vote now on the Lumbers website by clicking the button below.

Supported by High Street jewellers Lumbers and voted for by Leicester Tigers supporters, the player of the month award recognises the contributions of individual players to the team cause throughout the campaign.

Each month during the season, fans will be asked to pick their top performer from a shortlist of three players.

The player with the most votes on the Lumbers website will win the award, which will be presented on the Welford Road pitch during half-time of a big first-team fixture.

Last season’s Lumbers Player of the Month winners included England international Ellis Genge, lock forward Harry Wells after his eye-catching performances in the successful Anglo-Welsh Cup campaign and Players’ Player of the Year Adam Thompstone.

Established in 1881, Lumbers jewellers have been at the heart of Leicester for more than 135 years - just like the Tigers - and are the sponsors of the club’s monthly player of the month award.

The Lumbers team offers unparalleled service and knowledge for clients at their new premises in High Street, Leicester, with an extensive range of services including jewellery and watch repairs, valuations and engraving.
