Following a disciplinary hearing where Jimmy Gopperth was given a three-week ban for punching or striking, contrary to law 10.4(a) during Leicester Tigers versus Wasps on November 1, Wasps will be appealing the length of the sanction.The appeal hearing with be held on Thursday.
Gopperth pleaded guilty to the charge at his disciplinary hearing on Tuesday evening and received a three-week ban. The Panel comprised John Murphy, Nigel Stelling and chair William Harbage QC.
