More than 200 players from club partners and local businesses braved the lashing rain at Welford Road as Leicester Tigers hosted the Global Payments Corporate Touch Rugby Tournament earlier in June.
Fisher German, who specialise in chartered surveying and property consultancy, came out on top after 52 mini matches on the famous turf, having beaten Exclusive Networks in a competitive Cup final.
Tournament sponsors – and club partners – Global Payments were pipped to the Bowl title when TechTrak scored a ‘golden try’ deep into extra time.
Elsewhere, The BGL Group lifted the Shield with a 2-1 victory over club partners – and sponsors of the East Stand – Mattioli Woods, while De Montfort University picked up the Wooden Spoon after beating Growth Partners in their play-off earlier in the afternoon.

Pete Bettles is the chief operating officer of Global Payments in the UK and Ireland, and was on hand to present the trophies to the winning teams on Friday afternoon.
“This is the second year for Global Payments sponsoring the Touch Rugby Tournament and it continues to impress me,” he said.
“Whilst the rain brought new challenges this year, I saw no dampened spirits and everyone I spoke to had a fantastic day.
“This is a great testimony to all those involved in organising, and I hope even more companies get involved next year – it’s clear the event drives great comradery and teamwork, something that we all love our organisations to have.
“Global Payments UK is a Leicester head office business and we love to support things like this in Leicester as our home, and working with Tigers who do such fantastic work.”
