Leicester Tigers hosted a Corporate Open Day, inviting members of the conference and events industry to find out more about what Welford Road has to offer.

Nearly 100 guests enjoyed a behind-the-scenes event at the home of the Tigers on Friday which included a tour of the stadium, a chance to sample the club's fine dining and a presentation about the proposed hotel and car park development.

Giving potential clients the opportunity to experience both matchday and non-matchday hospitality as well as conference and events spaces, visitors enjoyed a tour of facilities including a look at the changing rooms. 

There was also the opportunity to taste Tigers dining options and a buffet lunch.  

Each year, Tigers host around 500 events across a variety of industries and occasions, using the flexible accommodation throughout the stadium.  

The club also shared an update on the proposed hotel development on the surrounding 1.7-acre Granby Hall car park.

Originally designed with 166 rooms over five floors, the hotel is now expected to have 183 rooms with 3,300 square metres of reception, circulation, lounge and dining areas. This includes a business centre, and retail and lobby areas which open up on to a flexible fan zone and public open space alongside a fitness suite, restaurant and fifth-floor 'sky bar'.
