We have to stay positive, says Harrison

Sam Harrison says Leicester Tigers cannot afford to feel sorry for themselves after the defeat against Gloucester as attention turns to the visit of Harlequins this Saturday.

A penalty kick in injury time by Matt Toomua helped Tigers return from Kingsholm with a bonus point after the 24-17 defeat, and Harrison says the point could be important in the context of the season.

“To get that bonus point, that could be key, and denying them a bonus point is important also,” said Harrison.

“You come away with a bonus point from Kingsholm against a quality Gloucester team, in isolation, you would probably take that. But the way the league is at the minute we are not happy with it – it’s not the win we wanted to get.

“But there is no feeling sorry for ourselves. We have to bring Harlequins back to Welford Road on Saturday.

“We have to be positive, there is no other mind-set we can have. We have to look at how we can be better, and we have to start getting the wins now.”

Tigers kick-off against Harlequins at 3pm on Saturday. The game is included in the Tigers season ticket. Match tickets are on general sale. Click below to book your place or call 0116 319 8888 (option 2).
