Leicester Tigers were saddened to hear the news that Thomas Cook had ceased trading earlier this week.

At this difficult time, and as a close partner of the club through Thomas Cook Sport, the club is now offering members of Thomas Cook staff, across all branches of the business affected by this development, complimentary tickets to Friday evening’s opening home game of the season.

Thomas Cook members of staff able to provide proof of their employment will be able to claim up to four tickets, completely free of charge, to see Tigers take on Exeter Chiefs in Round 2 of the Premiership Rugby Cup at Welford Road this Friday, September 27 (7.45pm).

Chris Rose, head of brand at Leicester Tigers, said: “Tigers have enjoyed a close and enjoyable relationship with Thomas Cook Sport over the past four years and we were saddened to hear the news that a homegrown Leicestershire company employing thousands of people has arrived at this point.

“With the Thomas Cook name synonymous with our home city, we see this is as an opportunity to show our support for all of our friends at the company, and hope as many of them as possible can join us at Welford Road this Friday.”

Thomas Cook employees must call 0116 319 8888 (option 2) to redeem their free places, or can claim their complimentary tickets in person at Welford Road, right up to kick off.

*Employees must provide proof of employment by Thomas Cook in person, either when booking at the ticket office, or at the turnstile, to gain access to the stadium. All tickets are subject to availability.
