Well-Being Week 2 | Stay active from home

Figure image

As part of the Leicester Tigers’ second Well-Being Week 2 we are sharing information and activities to help supporters to cope with the restrictions in place due to the Coronavirus. It is important to stay safe and look after yourself.

For many people, working from home is now a daily necessity. Where we previously travelled to work and had direct contact with colleagues, clients and customers throughout the day, now working remotely can mean long hours sat at a desk or on the phone at home.

While you come to terms with these new routines, mental health charity MIND point out that keeping active plays a key role.

Adding physical activity into your day can also help to reduce any anxiety and stress.

Exercise from home can be simple, you don’t need any equipment and there are options for most ages and abilities. The most important thing, say MIND, is to find something you enjoy.

Checkout the MIND website for details on how to get started, or how to get active if you are short of time and how to get the family involved.

Or see the Sport England website for tips, advice and guidance on how to keep active in and around your home. Join the Movement and use #StayInWorkOut to share how you're getting active during this time.

Remember, also, to take breaks in your working day, get up and move around - check out the Tigers website and social media pages including clips from some classic games of the past!

The second Tigers Well-Being Week is run through the club website and social media pages, with input from the club and its partners including activities for all ages, health features, useful advice and updates from our community programmes – and see how the #TigersFamily are adapting.

Keep an eye on the Tigers website and social media throughout the next week and get involved in Well-Being Week.
