Wells to gain coaching experience

Harry Wells aims to develop his coaching skills after taking up a role with Leicester Lions for the 2018/19 season.

Wells will combine playing for Leicester Tigers with the role, and hopes that working with the National League Two North side will help develop his coaching skills and rugby knowledge.

He will link up with Andy Key, the former Tigers player and academy manager Andy Key, who is head coach at the Blaby-based Lions.

The 24-year-old Wells, who made 24 appearances for Tigers last season, said: “I am looking forward to developing my own coaching style, but more importantly passing on what I have learnt as a player at the Tigers.”

Head coach Key added: “Harry will bring a fresh approach to our coaching team while passing on his wealth of experience and keeping us all abreast of what life is like in the professional game.”
