The Great Britain Wheelchair Rugby team have collected gold medals at the World Games in the USA.

This is the first year that the discipline has been included in the World Games as Team GB won every game in Birmingham, Alabama to take top honours.

Leicester Tigers representative Nick Cummins was named Player of the Tournament and coach Rob Tarr was also part of the successful group.

GB were unbeaten in the round-robin matches against Switzerland (51-17), Canada (42-30), USA (47-12), Japan (46-27) and Germany (38-32), then beat Japan 35-23 in the gold medal match on Sunday.

Domestically, the Tigers Wheelchair Rugby team which is supported by the club’s Foundation and partner Hafele, are leading the WR5s league.
