Tigers prop Julian White has been banned for five weeks following his citing after the Heineken Cup win over Leinster.

A complaint was lodged by the Citing Commissioner, Geraint Edwards, for the alleged punching of Leinster lock Malcolm O'Kelly in contravention of Law 10.4 (a).

White admitted he was guilty of foul play and, after considering the evidence, the independent disciplinary committee determined that the offence was of mid-range in the level of seriousness. Having taken into account any mitigating and aggravating factors, the player was suspended for a period of five weeks backdated from the week commencing Monday, January 21, and running up to and including Sunday, February, 24. Both parties have the right to appeal.

Andy Goode and Seru Rabeni, meanwhile, have been cited by the independent citing officer for dangerous tackles on Jonny Wilkinson and Jamie Noon respectively during the Guinnness Premiership match against Newcastle Falcons last Saturday.

The pair have been summoned to appear before a panel chaired by RFU disciplinary officer, His Honour Judge Jeff Blackett, in London on Tuesday, February 5.
