Club officials reviewed the incident which led to his citing following the Guinness Premiership semi-final against Gloucester.
A club statement said: Julian White immediately accepted his guilt of the offence. He has been remorseful and is very sorry that he has let down his team-mates.
He has been banned by the club for seven days and has consequently been withdrawn from playing this weekend.
Also, the club have fined Julian £5,000 as this is his second disciplinary hearing of the season.
White is due to appear before an independent disciplinary committee as a result of the citing for
an offence of alleged stamping, contrary to Law 10.4(b), after the match video was reviewed by an independent citing officer.
He will appear before a Rugby Football Disciplinary panel on Tuesday, May 27. The panel will comprise Christopher Quinlan (chairman), Mike Curling and John Doubleday.
