Thorn, meanwhile, has paid tribute to the welcome he has received from Tigers fans during his period with the club.
Speaking to LTTV, he said he loved the connection he has made with the club’s fans and admitted that he got a bit emotional as he left the field to a standing ovation.
“I did get a little bit emotional when I came off,” said Thorn. “When I came in here, I was very excited about playing for this club with a great name and history.
“To get that applause when I came off, it felt really nice, it was a great connection and I’m really appreciative.
“I’ve played my heart out for this club. The fans have been really supportive.
“I love the connection with the fans. I feel like there’s an understanding there between me and the supporters.
“They know what I’m about. They see a guy who is honouring the jersey and giving his all, it’s a really nice thing and I appreciate it.”
