Leicester Tigers can confirm Stef Evans has joined the club with immediate effect.

The 37-year-old, who can play at prop or at lock, last featured for Warriors Women in the Premiership.

The Canadian has also represented Bristol Bears at Premiership level.

Speaking about joining Leicester Tigers, Evans said: "The club has built such an impressive rugby legacy; you can feel it in the air when you walk through the gates at Mattioli Woods Welford Road.

"The girls are a great bunch, who want to play exciting rugby, shake things up and contribute to that Tigers legacy.

"To be a part of the beginning of the Leicester Women’s Premiership story is a huge honour."

Discussing the signing of Evans, Head of Women's Rugby, Vicky Macqueen, added "We're pleased to welcome Stef to Leicester Tigers.

"She adds exceptional experience to what is still a young squad and comes with vital versatility in key positions across the front five.
