Youngs shortlisted for Player of the Six Nations

Ben Youngs has been shortlisted for the 2015 RBS 6 Nations Player of the Championship.Youngs was named man-of-the-match in each of England’s last two games of the tournament, against Scotland and France.   The Leicester Tigers scrum-half scored two tries against France in the 55-35 win in Round 5 and was also on the scoresheet in Round 2, in the 47-17 victory over Italy.   Vote for Youngs now by clicking here.   Youngs has been joined on the 12-man shortlist by England teammates George Ford, Jonathan Joseph and Billy Vunipola.   Six Nations champions Ireland have three players nominated in captain Paul O’Connell, scrum-half Conor Murray and centre Robbie Henshaw.   Dan Biggar and Alun Wyn Jones of Wales are nominated, as are Scotland’s Jonny Gray and Stuart Hogg and Italy captain Sergio Parisse.   How the selection was made: Throughout the 2015 RBS 6 Nations each player has been awarded (or deducted) points based on statistical performance across different action categories that cover all aspects of the game. To ensure fairness, the RBS 6 Nations analysts have weighted the importance of different actions depending on different positions. These categories have been collated to give each player an overall performance score. The top scoring players are listed below in alphabetical order.
