Leicester Tigers will be able to welcome back an international quartet this week, including hooker Tom Youngs, as they prepare to face Wasps at Welford Road on Saturday.

Italy hooker Leonardo Ghiraldini, Argentina prop Marcos Ayerza and Fiji’s Vereniki Goneva have all returned to the club at the end of the autumn international series.

And Youngs, who has made just three appearances this season and has not played since the defeat Bath in Round 3, is also back in training.

Director of rugby Richard Cockerill said: “We’re starting to get some bodies back now. Tom Youngs has been out for 10 weeks, but he has been training well this week and will be ready to play next week. He will be fresh and keen.

“We will see Leonardo when he gets back but to have two Test hookers available again is great. Harry Thacker has been very good for us too.”

Geoff Parling is also working well on his way back after a head knock, and Cockerill hopes to have Christian Loamanu and Seremaia Bai back to full fitness shortly.

Tigers against Wasps is a 3pm kick-off on Saturday. Tickets are available now. Call in at Welford Road, phone 0116 319 8888 (option 2) or click here to book online – you can also use the new print at home facility for tickets bought online.

England’s match against Australia will be shown ‘as live’ on screens around the stadium after the Tigers match too so you don’t have to miss any of the autumn international rugby either.
