Leicester Tigers will welcome hundreds of young players from across the region for the seventh annual Land Rover Premiership Rugby Cup.The Tigers festival will be held at Oakham RFC on Sunday, March 29, with 16 under-11s and 16 under-12s teams taking part.
The under-11s competition will feature teams from Oakham, West Bridgford, North Walsham, Old Leamingtonians, Wymondham, Coalville, Market Harborough, Bury St Edmunds, Trentham, Nottingham Corsairs, Oadby Wyggestonians, Scunthorpe, Melton Mowbray, Lutterworth, Leicester Forest and Ashby rugby clubs.
Teams from Oakham, Kenilworth, Wymondham, North Walsham, Oadby Wyggestonians, Kesteven, Hinckley, Stamford, Market Harborough, Lutterworth, Leicester Forest, Market Bosworth, Spalding, Loughborough, Tamworth and South Leicester will make up the under-12s competition.
The winning sides will represent Tigers in the Land Rover Parade of Champions at the Aviva Premiership Final at Twickenham in May.
The Land Rover Premiership Cup is officiated by Premiership Rugby and run in conjunction with all twelve Premiership Rugby clubs. More than 50,000 young players have so far taken part in the tournament in its first six seasons.
