250 teams take on Tigers Challenge 2019

It’s one of youth rugby’s biggest weekends of the year as the Tigers Challenge 2019 came to a close in Butlin’s Minehead last weekend.

Young rugby players from teams across the UK headed to Somerset for the final Tigers Challenge weekend of 2019 to take part in a series of age-group competitions.

With under-7s to under-14s taking part, the two-day festival saw teams battle it out involving more than 6,000 players, coaches and support staff across the weekend.

The weekend was capped off with a presentation night to award the festival’s winners and teams, with former Tigers and British & Irish Lion lock Tom Croft and current Tigers scrum-half Ben White on hand to give out the prizes.

In April earlier this year, 50 rugby clubs took part in the Tigers Challenge at Butlin’s Bognor Regis in the first weekend of the year, with former England international Mathew Tait and Leicester Tigers wing Jordan Olowofela on hand to give out trophies and medals.
