Leicester Tigers are pleased to confirm the appointment of George Glenn as Academy Manager.

He will commence in the role from July 1, 2025, replacing Dave Wilks, who is joining Global Partner Club KL Tigers as Director of Rugby after a decade as Academy Manager.

Glenn is returning to the club after two years as Director of Rugby at Denstone College, having previously worked at Leicester Tigers as Junior Academy Manager from 2021-2023.

Prior to Tigers, he spent thirteen years at England Rugby (RFU), where he worked as a Rugby Development and Player/Pathway Officer in the Midlands region and a Coach Developer.

On the appointment of Glenn, General Manager Richard Wilks said: "It is fantastic to be welcoming George back to Leicester Tigers, a place he has a great passion for and strong understanding of, especially in such a pivotal role for the club."

"His previous time with us was successful and, after broadening his horizons over the past two years at a quality institution like Denstone College, who we enjoy a great partnership with, I have no doubt that this appointment is one we will see benefits from for years to come."

"George has great knowledge of academy governance, which is key in this role, and has demonstrated a passion for and success in player development and programme management.

"We have been fortunate to have great consistency over a long period of time in this role, with only three Academy Managers in more than two decades, allowing for long-lasting, deep relationships with the stakeholders who help us continue to produce world-class players here in Leicester. We are confident George will continue that tradition."

Glenn added: "The opportunity to ensure that the Academy continues to contribute to the winning heritage of the club excites me."

"I am looking forward to ensuring the Tigers Academy retains its unique traditions and values, and works progressively to develop the young players within."
