Leicester Tigers strength and conditioning coach Will Findlay is taking on The 250in50 Challenge next month in the name of Tiffany Youngs, the wife of former club captain Tom, who passed away in June 2022 after a long battle with blood cancer.

The challenge, which will see Findlay attempt to run 250,000 metres non-stop for 50 hours in 5km intervals, is hoped to raise much-needed funds for Blood Cancer UK and awareness of the illness which approximately 250,000 people are currently living with in the United Kingdom.

The challenge will take place in Leicester from March 17-19.

It will be the second challenge Findlay has undertaken in the name of Tiffany Youngs after running 30 half marathons in 30 days in November 2021, which raised £40,000 for Blood Cancer UK.

Club partners Mattioli Woods and Wilo UK LTD have both made donations to support Findlay in this next challenge and will appear on the back of his running vest.

Businesses or individuals looking to get involved by sponsoring the challenge, please contact [email protected]

JustGiving page has been set up for people to donate to The 250in50 Challenge and you can follow - and share your support for - Findlay’s journey by using #250in50 and #BecauseofTiff on social media.
