The Welsh have selected a 30-man squad ahead of this season’s international season and have been in training camp ahead of their warm-up game against Tigers.
Tigers Academy manager Neil McCarthy said: “We’’ve got to know the Welsh pretty well in the last couple of years and they see this fixture as very valuable preparation for their international games because they know we have a lot of quality within our squad.
“We hope to have another good crowd in at Welford Road because these fixtures play a big part in the development of our players.”
Tigers Academy versus Wales Under-18s is a 7pm kick-off this Wednesday and admission is free.
Wales Under-18 head coach Gruff Rees has named a 30-man squad for the international season, including 11 members of the successful Blues Under-18 squad that lifted the WRU Regional title last month.
Rees said: “We have a healthy mix in the squad and we’d like to give them the opportunity to express themselves.”
