Tigers Academy finished their 15-a-side season a high on Thursday night as they recorded their 14th successive victory with a 50-0 thrashing of Newport Gwent Dragons.

The away win at Ebbw Vale RFC , which followed a stunning 18-13 victory over England U-18s last Sunday, provided a fitting end to what has been an outstanding campaign.

Since losing out to France U-19s at Welford Road back in October, Tigers have won every game they have played, home and away.

Having established a 33-0 half-time lead, Tigers scored three further tries in the second half as they ran out comfortable winners against their Welsh opponents.

Rickie Aley scored two tries and five conversions for a personal tally of 20 points, with Tom Collett, Calum Green, Billy Twelvetrees and Josh Goldspink all grabbing a try-a-piece and Will Lawson touching down twice for the visitors.

Tigers Academy now focus on the shorter version of the game, with the Melrose sevens the first of five sevens competitions scheduled for the remainder of the season.
