Leicester Tigers begin their Under-18 Academies League campaign with the short trip to Northampton Saints this afternoon.

After a warm-up fixture against Saracens before Christmas, the Tigers kick off their league season with a local derby at Franklin’s Gardens.
 
Flanker Tommy Reffell captains a team which includes Ryan Olowofela, Tom Hardwick, Sam Grahamslaw, Oscar Harper, Joe Heyes and Josh Fenner who were all part of the squad in Premiership ‘A’ League action at Northampton in the week before Christmas.
 
After the derby opener, Tigers travel to Worcester Warriors next weekend in the next league fixture before an opening home game against Sale Sharks later this month. Home games are played at Oval Park and supporters are welcome.
 
After a frosty start to the day, kick-off this afternoon has been moved back to 1.30pm on Pitch 1 at Frankllin’s Gardens.
