Agulla won the supporters’ vote for March ahead of team-mates George Ford and Steve Mafi.
It is the second time he has been named the Goldsmiths Player of the Month after scooping the award in November. He received a Tag Heuer Formula 1 watch from award sponsors Goldsmiths at their store in Highcross Leicester.
“I feel really surprised to win,” says Agulla. “I think the other players, Fordy and Steve Mafi, were outstanding during the month.
“Thank you to all of the supporters. It is amazing for us to have that support. The confidence that they have given to me is really important.”
Agulla and Mafi are in the running for the Player of the Year Award at the Leicester Tigers Supporters End of Season Awards night. They are nominated alongside Marcos Ayerza, Julian Salvi, Matt Smith and Thomas Waldrom in the Player of the Year category.
Ford and Mafi are nominated for Young Player alongside Sam Harrison and Andy Forsyth. Salvi, Graham Kitchener, Niall Morris and Logovi’i Mulipola contest the Newcomer award while George Chuter and Louis Deacon are nominated for the Outstanding Service Award.
