Having been named in the original 33-man squad on January 2, George Chuter, Martin Corry, Louis Deacon, Harry Ellis, Lewis Moody and Julian White remain in new head coach Brian Ashton's plans ahead of the RBS 6 Nations opener.
Four players from the original 33 announced on January 2 have not been selected. Paul Sackey (London Wasps) and Mark Cueto (Sale Sharks) will not recover from knee and calf injuries respectively in time for the Scotland game, while Shaun Perry (Bristol Rugby) and Alex Brown (Gloucester Rugby) will join the England Saxons squad (to be announced at 1pm today) for their match against Italy A at Exeter's Sandy Park Stadium on Friday February 2.
Brian Ashton said: "The medical opinion was that Paul and Mark would not be fit and I wish them all the best for a speedy recovery. Shaun and Alex have just missed the cut. It was a very tough decision and underlines the strong competition for places."
The final 22 will be announced at 1pm on Monday January 29.
