Another big day at Welford Road

Figure image
Make it a rugby double at Welford Road this Saturday with Leicester Tigers versus Newcastle Falcons at 3pm, followed by full recorded coverage of England against Wales.

This Tigers fixture is not covered live by any TV channel so the only way to enjoy every second of the action is up close at Welford Road.

The match features Geordan Murphy’s 300th first-team appearance and begins a seven-match run-in to the end of the regular Aviva Premiership Rugby season with Tigers chasing a place in the knockout stages.

The club bars will remain open after the game and we'll be showing full recorded coverage England versus Wales 'as live' on the screens around the stadium and a big screen in the Final Whistle.

Tickets for Tigers versus Newcastle Falcons are available now. Phone the Tigers ticket office on 0844 856 1880, call in at Welford Road (8.30am-5pm Friday and from 9am Saturday) or book online by clicking here and go to the collection point outside the Caterpillar Stand to pick up your tickets on the way to the turnstiles.

You can also book match tickets at the Tigers Club Store in Market Street, Leicester.

Turnstiles, bars and food outlets, including the Final Whistle, are open from 1.00pm.

Pick up your copy of the Tigers match programme and reflect on Geordan’s 1997 debut, and you could also win a Roberts digital radio courtesy of John Lewis.

Also in this week’s programme, we hear from Tigers supporters who shivered through the cup game against Newcastle three weeks ago as they recall their coldest rugby moments, and George Chuter writes another Inside Line feature from the heart of Welford Road. Pick up your copy, price £3.

The Junior Tigers Club VIP area of Final Whistle is open and members can enjoy a free milkshake from the exclusive Crusha milkshake bar. Activities to keep young supporters entertained are free to all members and we’ll have a first-team player appearance during the afternoon too.

Membership is free and open to all supporters aged under 16. Come and sign up this weekend, and find out how you can play a part in the JTC Takeover Day next month.

Places are available on Tigers matchday buses run in conjunction with Arriva from Market Harborough, Oakham and Nuneaton. Click here for more details and timetable.

Resident band Rock Bottom provide the live music after the game and we’ll have full recorded coverage of the England versus Wales game on the big screen in Final Whistle straight after the Tigers match.

The Tigers ticket office is open all day Saturday for match tickets sales for all home games and also 2012/13 season ticket sales – spread the cost of season tickets with interest-free direct debit – and there is an extra ticket office inside the stadium so you can book for future matches even after you have found your seat.
