European rugby returns to Welford Road on Friday evening (January 16) when Leicester Tigers take on Scarlets in a vital Champions Cup clash.Tigers have two wins from the opening four rounds in Europe's elite club competition and need victory over the Welsh region to maintain their hopes of gaining a place in the knockout stage.   Ulster and Toulon have both been beaten on memorable days at Welford Road in Europe’s new competition this season but Pool 3 is proving to be among the tightest in this season’s tournament and every point will be crucial.   Scarlets won the first meeting between the two teams back in October and they go into Friday’s encounter in second place in the pool, behind double European champions Toulon.
