Leicester Tigers prop Marcos Ayerza played the full 80 minutes as Argentina began their 2015 Rugby Championship campaign with a 38-19 defeat to New Zealand on Friday morning.Argentina scored two second half tries through hooker Augustin Creevy while fly-half Nicolas Sanchez added a conversion and two penalties.
But the All Blacks produced a dominant performance to lead 18-6 at half time and add to the total in the second half, despite the Argentina fight-back.
New Zealand captain Richie McCaw, on what is expected to be his last international in Christchurch, scored the first of New Zealand’s five tries and Dan Carter added four conversions and two penalties.
Argentina return home to host Australia in the Round 2 on Sunday, July 26, kick-off at 8.40am UK time.
