Benetton Treviso have announced that Robert Barbieri will return to the club from Leicester Tigers this summer.Italy international Barbieri first joined Treviso in 2007/08 and won two league titles, an Italian Cup and Italian Super Cup there before moving to Welford Road last summer alongside Leonardo Ghiraldini, Michele Rizzo and Christian Loamanu.
Barbieri, 30, has made 19 appearances for Tigers this season.
"I am very happy to be back in Treviso and to have the opportunity to once again wear the shirt,” the Italy international said. “This year abroad helped me to mature and I hope I have grown as a player and can bring this experience to the Treviso team."
Tigers have already announced the signing of back-rows Opeti Fonua and Brendon O'Connor for next season, plus Worcester's Mike Williams who can play lock or back row.
