Big clash for Corry and Co

While Leicester's squad travel to play Cornish Pirates this weekend, four of their clubmates will be looking to push their Rugby World Cup claims with England.

Brian Ashton's national squad kick off their World Cup warm-up fixture against Wales at Twickenham at 4pm, just as Tigers are getting back into action in Cornwall.

Dan Hipkiss wins his first England cap at centre, while club skipper Martin Corry is named on the blindside flank. Lewis Moody and George Chuter are on the bench as national coach Ashton enters the final period of preparations with the first of three warm-up games before selecting his 30-man squad for the World Cup.

Corry said: "These games are huge from a team's perspective but, uniquely, the importance for an individual in them rises as well."

Tigers Events have a small number of tickets still available for the England versus Wales game. Call Vicky Noah on 0116 2171 294 for further information.
