Leicester Tigers players Steve Mafi and Ryan Lamb were among the supporters on the sidelines at the second festival in this season's Prima Tiger Cup at Tamworth on Sunday.

Sponsored by Prima Solutions of Loughborough, the Prima Tiger Cup is a free-to-enter tournament for under-10s teams around the country who battle it out for the opportunity to play at the home of Leicester Tigers before a first-team game.

After Holt and North Walsham teams came through the opening festival at Swaffham RFC in Norfolk, Tamworth RFC hosted the second event and qualifying places were hotly contested.

In the end it was Tamworth and Wolverhampton who came through to claim a place in the next stages, with all of the competing teams having the opportunity to have their photograph taken with Tigers duo Mafi and Lamb.

This weekend the tournament moves on to Lutterworth RFC in Leicestershire where 24 teams are involved.

There are five qualifying festivals this season before the knockout stages begin at Welford Road before the Aviva Premiership fixture between Leicester Tigers against London Irish on Saturday, November 23.
