Bigger and better Tigers Challenge set for 2022

Dates have now been set for next year’s Tigers Challenge at Butlin’s Minehead following the cancellation of the 2021 event.

Following the Government announcement of a stepped schedule out of Covid regulations and the implications on social gathering and sporting events, Tigers Challenge organisers made the difficult decision to cancel this year’s event and immediately set their sights on an even better experience next year.

The 2022 Tigers Challenge will be staged at Butlin’s Minehead on the Bank Holiday weekend of April 29-May 2 and demand is expected to be even stronger as everyone anticipates rugby’s return to full force by then.

More than 150 teams who had booked for this year will have an exclusive period to transfer their registrations before other clubs are able to book.

Guests booked through ESF Events for 2021 will receive a refund and details have been sent to group leaders.

“It simply isn’t possible for us to provide the experience [in 2021] that everyone is looking forward to so much,” organisers said. “We know this news will be hugely disappointing to many, especially the 2,000 children who were looking forward to joining us on tour with teammates this year.

“Rest assured, we’ll be pulling out all the stops to ensure that the 2022 Tigers Challenge is bigger and better than ever!”
