Tigers in the Park returns to Leicester Tigers for the opening home game of the Aviva Premiership season against Wasps on Saturday, September 10.
Now in its fifth year, the popular free community event will be hosted at Nelson Mandela Park opposite Welford Road stadium.
This year’s Tigers in the Park has a carnival theme and will be headlined by the Black Eagles. An acrobatic group from east Africa, the Black Eagles have performed at the Glastonbury Festival, the Queen’s Jubilee celebrations and at the Commonwealth Games in Manchester.
The Black Eagles performances are for the whole family, combining acrobatic skills with energetic dance and an uplifting African musical soundtrack.
There will also be activities and attractions – including inflatables, the Big Boot and the Speed Pass Challenge – from 11am until kick-off at 3pm. That’s four hours of free entertainment for the whole family.
The fans' food court will be back for picnics on the park and there will be player appearances throughout the day.
Young supporters have a chance to experience the magic of running out on the Welford Road pitch as part of the Junior Tigers Club activities on the day.
