Something has to give on Saturday when Leicester Tigers and Gloucester Rugby meet at Welford Road (kick-off 6pm) as the only two clubs with wins in each of their first three fixtures at the start of the Guinness Premiership season.

The scene is set for a tremendous tussle between the sides who finished last season placed first and second in the table and battled it out in the Guinness Premiership Final at Twickenham.

Tigers took the honours on that occasion, with Alesana Tuilagi, Martin Corry and Lewis Moody among the try-scorers in a 44-16 triumph, while Gloucester scored a 28-24 success on their own turf at Kingsholm and the league clash at Welford Road ended all-square at 27-27.

An exciting run of fixtures from the start of the season has brought Tigers wins over Bristol, Bath and European champions London Wasps, while Gloucester have impressively beaten Leeds Carnegie, Saracens and Worcester Warriors.

Rugby league convert Lesley Vainikolo announced his switch to Union with five tries on his Guinness Premiership debut for Gloucester against Leeds, while last Saturday's defeat of Worcester saw the return from injury to the Cherry and Whites ranks of World Cup winner Mike Tindall.

Tigers have a number of new faces in the squad this season, with the likes of Marco Wentzel, Boris Stankovich and Benjamin Kayser starting all three games so far following their summer moves to Welford Road. Ayoola Erinle, Tom Varndell, Johne Murphy, Matt Smith and Ollie Smith have already opened their try tally for the season, while Andy Goode passed the 1,500-point mark in his Tigers career during Sunday's win at Wasps.

With the World Cup quarter-final between England and Australia scheduled for a 2pm kick-off, you can enjoy a full day of rugby as the Tigers encounter is a 6pm start at Welford Road.

Ticket prices for Saturday's game start from £20 for adults, £18 concession and £8 junior (under-16). For more information or to purchase tickets, contact the Tigers ticket office on 08701 28 34 30.
