Leicester Tigers fans voted Bowden their player of the month for October ahead of teammates Blaine Scully and Logovi’i Mulipola.
Bowden was presented with his award, a Tag Heuer Aquaracer watch, after the final whistle of Saturday’s game when he was also named the Spire Man of the Match.
And Bowden said: “Thank you to everyone who voted. It is humbling to be named the Goldsmiths Player of the Month.
“It’s been good on a personal note but we want to be successful as a team. It’s been disappointing the last two weeks and I would enjoy it even more if we had won those games.”
Bowden conceded that Quins deserved their 23-16 victory, but said the Tigers squad will learn from the experience.
“Quins played well,” Bowden said. “But we fell off too many tackles and we are going to have to have a look in the mirror.
“But some of these guys are playing in only their third or fourth game at this level. It’s a challenge but they are good players and it’s about putting their best foot forward.
“We now enter an LV= Cup period. There’s a few young lads who need a game and a few tired bodies that need a rest. Friday is a chance to get out there in front of a home crowd and put in a performance that we can be proud of.”
Tigers are back on home soil on Friday evening in the opening LV= Cup tie of the season against the Ospreys. Kick-off is at 7.45pm and tickets are available now. Games in the pool stages of this competition are included in season tickets.
Match tickets are available now on 0844 856 1880 or by clicking here. And Tigers are offering free upgrades on junior season tickets.
If you hold season tickets for under-10s or juniors, or for children as part of a Tigers family season ticket, the club will exchange these for adult tickets free of charge so you can enjoy the match with family and friends if kick-off is too late for younger members.
