Maesteg Celtic from Wales enjoyed double success with the under-eights and under-11s winning in their age groups. The other tournament winners were Minehead Barbarians under-7s, Amman United under-nines and Wasps under-10s.
Droitwich topped the under-12s, Old Leamingtonians won the under-13s, Old Patesians from Cheltenham the under-14s and Chinnor from Oxford won in the under-15s.
Bristol Telephone Area RFC under-13s and Cleve RFC under-15s were the top girls’ sides on the day.
Scott Clarke, head of community at Leicester Tigers, said: “With more than 100 club sides participating, the standard and spirit was outstanding. All games took on board the ethos of the event to give it your all, have fun and makes friends in rugby.”
Run in partnership with ESF Events, the Tigers Challenge returns to Butlin’s at Minehead this weekend with an even bigger collection of more than 120 teams involved. Tigers coaches and referees are looking forward to another brilliant weekend of rugby with our Butlin’s hosts.
