Leicester Tigers wing Joe Browning is included in an England squad for the Singapore and Vancouver Sevens.
Browning made his senior debut for Tigers in the Premiership Rugby Cup win over London Irish last week and now joins a 13-man squad named by England Sevens head coach Tony Roques for both events this month.
The squad is formed from a mix of Gallagher Premiership and university players alongside core contracted Sevens players.
World Rugby Sevens Series record appearance holder and try-scorer Dan Norton returns to the squad and Browning is selected after previous experience in the Spain World Series events at Malaga and Seville in January.
The squad have continued their preparations at Loughborough University and also played a behind-closed-doors training event with Wales and Scotland.
Coach Roques said: “We’re all looking forward to the Singapore and Vancouver tournaments. We have a consistency of players in the group which is important, but we have also been able to make some changes and give fresh opportunities to impress.
“The collaboration between the Sevens programme, clubs and universities is key. It was brilliant to see Joe Browning make his Tigers debut recently and now heading to Singapore with the Sevens. There has also been some great collaboration with the universities which enables young talented players like Jamie Barden, Jamie Adamson and Api Bavadra to pull on an England Sevens shirt.”
