Busy day for the Tigers Family

Figure image
It promises to be a busy day today for Leicester Tigers players with Rugby Camps and promotional events spread across three counties.

A total of 55 fans who won the chance to be part of the photo session for the new home and away shirts will be joined by first-team stars Graham Kitchener, Sam Harrison, Harry Thacker and Telusa Veainu for the Welford Road shoot.

Meanwhile, 12-year-old Jonny Breeze and his dad Korl will take on half-backs Owen Williams and Jono Kitto, plus club legend Geordan Murphy and former fly-half Matt Cornwell in a kicking challenge with a difference.

The season ticket holders from Stamford in Lincolnshire will aim to take out a drone hovering over the club’s Oval Park training ground with a well-aimed kick.

Jonny, who won the opportunity in a competition run on the club website, said: “I am really looking forward to meeting the players, and it should be a great laugh.”

Greg Bateman, Tom Brady and Freddie Burns, meanwhile, are due to visit Tigers Rugby Camps to pass on their tips and expertise to the next generation of players.

Tigers and England fly-half Burns is due to visit the Tigers Rugby Camp at Shipston on Stour RFC in Warwickshire, hooker Bateman is set to visit Coalville RFC and new signing Tom Brady will make an appearance at Stamford School in Lincolnshire.

Keep an eye on the club’s Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages to follow Tigers on a busy day ahead of the 2016/17 season.
