Leading cancer charity Cancer Research UK will be holding their Relay for Life Leicester event at Welford Road on May 3 and 4 next year.
The event is part of a wider effort to try and raise funds of £100,000 and consists of 10 or more people walking around the pitch, in shifts, for a 24-hour period. Teams are required to raise money prior to the event in order to be eligible and entry per-person is just £10. There will be activities, plays and music concerts going on for the duration of the day all around the ground, as well as a Candle of Hope ceremony during the evening.
