Captain Castro to lead Italy

Leicester Tigers prop Martin Castrogiovanni will captain Italy against Wales in the RBS 6 Nations on Saturday.

Castrogiovanni, who wins his 94th cap, takes over the captaincy from the suspended Sergio Parisse after also leading his country to victory in the summer Tests against Canada and the USA.

Italy have made four changes with Kristopher Burton and Edoardo Gori starting at half-back, Ratu Manoa Vosawai at No8 and Antonio Pavanello in the second row.

Italy have beaten Wales twice previously in Rome - in 2003 and 2007 – but this is their first Championship meeting at the Stadio Olimpico.

The Italy versus Wales game will be shown live in the Final Whistle at Welford Road from 2.30pm, with England against France to follow at 5pm ahead of Leicester Tigers and Saracens in the Aviva Premiership at 8pm.
